A beloved comics icon recently passed away and I have to say I will greatly miss Stan. Stan Goldberg got me into reading Archie Comics with his work on the Archie Marries Storyline by Michael Uslan. My bookclub had this awesome hardcover that contained this great story. Once I bought the book I read it and was amazed by Stans work and how important he was in bringing me back to reading Archie Comics.
That was in 2010 and I have not looked back, as I subscribe to all the Digests, comics and magazines and it is all thanks to Stan and how he had that power to bring my love of Archie comics back that I had lost. When I think of Archie I think of Stan Goldberg. Stan Goldberg is in my top tier of elite Archie artists and I am always excited when I see a cover he drew or read his many stories in the Digests.
When I see a cover drawn by Stan or the many many stories he drew over his many years with Archie I will remember him for the awesome legacy that he left us.
Rest in peace Stan. You will be greatly missed! You were a great man and will never be forgotten as a great comics artist!
