Archie Award of Excellence Story: They Dye by Night
One of the latest Digests that I have finished which includes an excellent and beautiful two part story called They Dye by Night with art by Harrey Lucey, one of my favorite artists. It is a mystery story, among some of my favorite Archie stories, and involves swimming pools in Riverdale being tampered with a strange type of dye. Why is everyone upset over this dye? The intriguing mystery of this dye, who is putting the dye in the pools and for what reason will be found in this story. What will happen when two famous Riverdale residents are accused of the crime and will Archie and friends fall victim to the Dye trap. Read this Digest and find out.
Archie Honorable Mention Story: Archie in Back Attack
-Archie in Back Attack written by George Gladir and art by Dan De Carlo Jr, in which Archie tries to help Mr Lodge with a back ache.
-Very funny story at the lengths Archie goes to help Mr. Lodge solve his problem!
Archie Honorable Mention Story: P.O.P plays Post Office and Whistle Bait
-There is also one great Archie: Man from Riverdale story and one excellent Betty: Girl from Riverdale story in this Digest. These are classic stories in which Archie and the gang play super agents and they are part of an organization named P.O.P or Protect Our Planet usually headquarted in secret at POP's chocolate shop as they fight against C.R.U.S.H or evil agents that are bent on destroying the world as we know it.
-The first one, a two part Archie: Man from Riverdale story named, P.O.P plays Post Office in which a villain named Atom Man controls Veronica's mind to do his bidding. Wait until you see the very funny ending!
-There is also a second two part story: Betty: Girl from Riverdale story named, Whistle Bait where the villain whistler threatens to destroy the gang with his high pitch whistles! How will they stop the Whistler? You will see in another very funny ending!
-Both are written by Frank Doyle and art by Bob White.
Overall Digest Rating-Outstanding: 4 out of 5 Stars
