I backed Wormworld for so many different reasons. I connect with the character Jonas in many ways such as his struggles and trials in the human world to my own current struggles and challenges. Jonas is missing his mother, just as I am missing a father in my own life. Jonas seeks something better than what he currently has right now and he finds that adventure in the Wormworld. I am also currently seeking some type of adventure or change in my life just like Jonas. Daniel is envisioning this book series to be three trilogies with 20 chapters in each trilogy for about an average of about 10 books per trilogy and possibly 30 overall.
I also backed this kickstarter because Daniel is such a great creator and how he managed the freebies and the campaign since the beginning is outstanding that it is no wonder he is headed for $40,000 currently in the Kickstarter campaign. I also fell in love with the beautiful painting like art style and great story within the pages of the Wormworld with its many locations, characters and locations. I would love to read why others backed Wormworld Volume 1 and if you have any special connection with the story and the main character of Jonas. Thanks for sharing your own stories.

I backed wormwood kickstarter because I saw a single image (the journey begins) and feel in love with the character, the artwork, and most of all the story the was created in my mind.
Ironically I had no clue what the child's name was, yet I named the character Jonas as well.
The story itself is different than Daniel's but the concept is the same. He is set out to find himself in a new world because he's not happy with the way his life is now.
When I'm finished with my story I may share it with you all ^_^ ( if interested )

Yes, one image can be enough in allowing you to think of that specific world and help you imagine what that world could be like. That is why I have the image of The Journey Begins as my logo. I also fell in love with the art, characters and the entire Wormworld world. I hope when your finished with your story you will share it with us all.

When i started reading i was like: oh boy, the main character is a little boy, but with evry page i felt more connected with him, mostly because of the wonderfull artwork, and then i started reading it again, because i totally forgot all to actully read what evryone says in the book, and i liked it even more And then ending is something we all know, its where i backed the Kickstarter project!

It is interesting that you thought it might not be as good because it was about a little boy. It's great that as you read you liked the story more and more and to connect to the story is even better. I myself connect to Jonas in many different ways. It's great that you gave the story a chance.

I'm also a dreamer, but I did not fail at school so the first episode was a bit of a 50% like and a 50% dislike

Sometimes some stories take time for a reader to like at the beginning. For me though I tend not to read something if I do not like the first few pages so I may not have continued reading Wormworld if the first pages were not interesting for me. I am not sure if I would have lasted an entire chapter if the first few pages did not interest me.

Can you believe that I actually have not read many pages from Wormworld yet as I am waiting for the hardcover copy before I read the first three chapters but I am sure it will be a great story.

I like surprises in stories and stories where you are not sure what to expect so it will be interesting to see all the surprises that Wormworld has in its story when I read the hardcover in a few months. The wait is going to be difficult until that hardcover is released. At least it is only going to be about a 2 to 2 1/2 month wait for that.
